Finding the right living arrangement is an important step in planning your education. Tribeca Flashpoint’s campus, located in the bustling urban landscape of downtown Chicago, offers students an exciting opportunity to live in many of the city’s diverse and easily-accessible neighborhoods. Although we do not offer official student housing, we do recommend several housing partners that are within walking distance of the school and/or readily available via public transportation.

Under the supportive mentorship of expert faculty, you will work on both real-world client projects as well as your own passion projects—building your confidence and skills, your understanding of how the industry works, and a robust portfolio of experience and real-world credits, gained through courses and programming such as Production-In-Action™, Flashpoint Studios™, and Flashpoint Capstone.

Robust career support from the very first year

Tribeca Flashpoint is known for providing support to help graduates step seamlessly into the real world. Beginning your first semester, you can begin building a dynamic portfolio. We offer weekly Career Services workshops, frequent industry speakers and field trips, an annual Internship Fair, Career Services Week, and Portfolio Shows to help you learn about the industry and meet a broad range of employers and industry professionals. After graduation, all students join our Alumni Association and continue to get career guidance including: interviewing advice, notification of employment opportunities including full- and part-time, paid internships, and freelance/contract via the Alumni Job Board, Alumni Reunions and various networking resources.

Bachelor’s Degree Programs (B.A. or B.S.)

The bachelor’s degrees at Tribeca Flashpoint College are designed to produce highly skilled graduates that are well-versed in multiple aspects of their discipline with robust portfolios that include extensive client-based projects and advanced level of work. Each 120 credit hour bachelor’s degree program provides a strong foundation, introduction to the industry, and solid techniques complemented with advanced level of work and in-depth education in specialized areas.

Tribeca Flashpoint’s 60 credit hour associate degree programs are designed to help students become skilled generalists in their fields of choice. Emphasizing hands-on learning and real-world projects throughout, each of our associate degree programs provide a strong experiential foundation from which you can launch a career, or continue on to earn your bachelor’s degree.

    Tribeca Flashpoint believes in making a holistic assessment of a prospective student’s ability to succeed at the college and in the careers to which they aspire. Therefore each application is reviewed and considered individually when determining acceptance. For the student not meeting the published criteria, an appeals process exists through which additional factors may be considered.

    To be considered for admission into our associate or bachelor’s degree programs by the Admissions Committee, students are required to submit the following:

  • Completed admissions application, including an essay
  • Original Senior Secondary School certificate results
  • In addition to the basic criteria listed above, students are also required to:

  • Provide an evaluation of high school and/or college transcripts from NACES (National Association of Credential Evaluation Services) or other accredited evaluation company which demonstrates equivalency of high school graduation with a GPA of 2.0 out of 4.0.
  • Complete one of the following English language proficiency test*: TOEFL (minimum: 80 internet, 550 paper, 213 computer), IELTS (minimum: 6.5), or iTEP (minimum: 4.5). *
  • *a. The English proficiency test requirements may be waived for any applicant that meets one of the following:

  • Graduated from a high school where the majority of classes are taught in English and/or approved/recognized by an American or British Institution
  • Born and raised in a country whose first language is English; or
  • Achieved a certificate of completion from a recognized Language Center. Contact admissions for a list of certificates accepted from other institutions.
  • What are the entry requirements?

    This depends on the programme of choice and also the particular institution. However, generally, a minimum of 5 credits in relevant subjects in SSCE, including a credit pass in English Language that is not below C5.

    How long does it take to process my admission?

    For most of the institutions, visa processing takes 2 – 3 weeks after confirmation of admission and payment of all necessary fees.

    Does the school help with accommodation?

    Nearly all the institutions are multi-campus and as such most students are accommodated on campuses. However, some of them encourage and facilitate off campus residency especially among people in the community in order foster integration with the community.
