Visit the Pantheon to see the graves of famous French Citizens like Marie Curie and Victor Hugo. The masoleum, initially a church dedicated to St. Genevieve was rebuilt by King Louis XV to the neoclassical taste it had. The church was the changed into a mausoleum to honour revolutionary martyrs during the French revolution. You can also visit one of the world’s most visited cemetery, the Pere Lachaise Cemetery, to see the graves of some other famous people like Oscar Wilde and Jim Morrison. At this cemetery you would also get to see many sculptures placed their by their families.
Paris is also home to Europe’s most visited theme park, Disneyland Paris. Opened in 1992 and the second Disney park outside the US, you’ll find hotels, shopping and much more here. Lovers of art can visit Musee de l’Orangerie for a taste of impressionist and post-impressionist art by artists like Claude Monet, Picasso, and Renoir. The Luxembourg Garden or Jadin du Luxembourg, the second largest park in Paris, is where you can take leiruely strolls and unwind amidst beautiful assortment of flowers, statues and gardens.
